UNCLE PIG CHEF

Nobody really knows how old Uncle Pig is but he has lived in Linh World for a very long time so people all call him “Uncle”. Uncle Pig Chef is truly a “Master Chef”. People say that one of the things you must do in life is trying Uncle Pig’s dishes once. Uncle Pig owns a small restaurant in a small alley but still enough for a long queue of guests. He is very serious with his cooking career. Each meal is nothing less than a fight for he is always whole-hearted in making any dishes. His signature dish is Magic Tuna Noodle Soup.

BLUE GHOST

Blue Ghost is actually a spirit that Uncle Pig Chef found on his quest around places. Somehow, they had become friends and opened the restaurant together. Blue Ghost acts as a butler of the restaurant and takes care of everything including serving the guests. Blue Ghost always carries a small bag containing his heirloom powder that is able to enhance food flavor or anything it touches.

ROCKY DOG

Rocky Dog is a member of the Nghe family. In the Karma Journey project, Rocky Dog is the main character leading the stories through both worlds. Rocky Dog often does everything at his will without thinking about the consequences. Therefore, he also contradicts with his family’s tradition of “becoming the Mascot of Linh World”. At such a young age, he is still very hasty and spontaneous.

Bloody Frog

Bloody Frog is a creature that looks like a normal frog in the Human World. He is small and moves very fast. Bloody Frog fancies stealing shiny objects. Since he and Rocky Dog don’t like each other, they often play “cop and thief”.

MR ROAR

Mr Roar — Rocky Dog’s father, is a mighty General who watches and protects Linh World all day and night. Mr Roar is in charge of an elite army unit gathering all creatures with extraordinary powers. The Nghe family is well-known for their hot temper and paternalism. Hence, Mr Roar is respected by many people, and he is the symbol of justice and discipline. Besides his ability to breathe fire, he is also as strong as a tank. Hardly do people see him smile because his face is still stiff even if he does.

Existing alongside the Human World, Linh World is enormous and divided into organized regions. The story of Linh, Magic Powder takes place in Karma city - the liveliest area of Linh World. At the center of the city is a giant Karma Tree with branches covering all over Linh World and forming the sky of this place. Therefore, day is as dark as night and the skylight always appears with mysterious hues of purple and blue. The Karma City is separated into different districts, suitable for each creature’s lifestyle, customs, and culture.

ARCHITECTURE

Linh World is far beyond a normal imaginary world. The architecture of Karma City brings an old familiar feeling that we all have seen somewhere. Houses in the city center together create an overlapping, crowded and busy neighborhood. To get into their houses, the creatures can fly or pass from rooftops to rooftops. Linh World can be seen as a modern magical world with an ancient look.

RESIDENTS

The residents of Linh World are an absolute diversity and present in all places. Each character comes with a distinctive recognition and an attractive identity. Their names might be scary but also lovely, such as Long Tongue Ghost, Can Ghost, Buff Head, Horse Face...

LINH, Magic Powder is produced 100% by hand drawing, or also called Traditional Animation. It’s about acting to perform the characteristics of each character through a series of drawings. We were facing the challenge of understanding the actual movement of each character because they are all brand new and we haven’t seen them anywhere before.
